Trump released as he is not proven guilty

Former US President Donald Trump, who was arrested in the case of paying porn star Stormy Daniels to keep quiet, was released shortly after his arrest as the 34 charges brought against him were initially not proven. After being released, he claimed to be innocent.

On Tuesday (April 4), US media CNN reported that when Trump went to appear in court for the first time regarding the case, he was arrested during the fingerprinting process.

After being released, Trump quickly left the Manhattan courthouse after completing the legal process. At that time, the journalists asked questions but he left without speaking. International media believe that Trump may face the media in Florida.

Donald Trump‍‍`s attorney Todd Blanche said, "It‍‍`s not a good day. I don‍‍`t expect that to happen in this country with the former US President. You don‍‍`t expect it either. We are going to fight it, fight it hard.”

Police security has been beefed up across New York ahead of Trump‍‍`s court appearance. Law enforcement officials feared that if Republican leader Trump were arrested, his followers could take the path of violent protests. Trump supporters also gathered in some streets of New York. On the contrary, his opponents have started protesting to demand Trump‍‍`s punishment.

It is the first time in US history that a former president has been charged in a criminal case.

However, analysts say, from a legal point of view, this case will not create any obstacle for Trump to compete in the election.

Trump was charged with a criminal offense last Thursday in the case of bribing former porn star Stormy Daniels. Daniels alleged that Trump had a sexual relationship with her in 2006. Daniels was later bribed significantly not to speak out before the 2016 presidential election.

However, the former US president has denied the allegations leveled against him, terming the case as ‍‍`political persecution‍‍`.

Apart from this, Trump said that even if there are legal complications, he will not back down from contesting the 2024 election.
