Swedish PM Magdalena Andersson resigns

After her government was defeated in Sunday‍‍`s election, Sweden‍‍`s prime minister announced that she would resign.

With 99% of the votes counted, Magdalena Andersson‍‍`s center-left coalition appears certain to lose by a slight margin against a coalition of right-wing parties, 176 seats to 173.

 

Ulf Kristersson, the leader of the Moderate Party, is currently expected to form a government.

On Wednesday (September 14) in a press conference in Stockholm, the capital of Sweden, she said that she will officially submit her resignation today Thursday.
