China's COVID-19 quarantine bus crashes, killed 27

Media reports that a bus carrying 47 people to a COVID-19 quarantine facility in southwest China collapsed early on Sunday morning, killing 27 people and wounding 20 more.

According to a brief statement from the Sandu county police, the bus overturned on an expressway in Guizhou province without citing any connection to quarantine. It stated that the injured were receiving care.

Sandu officials acknowledged the passengers were "epidemic-related persons," according to the Chinese business news outlet Caixin. The passengers were being transported from Guiyang, the province capital, to Lido county, which is located approximately 200 kilometers (125 miles) to the southeast.
