The authorities concerned of Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST) has decided not to take classes and exams until June 25 following the worsening flood situation in Sylhet.
The decision was taken at an emergency syndicate meeting on Friday, said the university's vice-chancellor (acting) Dr Md Anowarul Islam.
The floodwaters inundated the city as well as the campus of SUST, said Anowarul, adding that the communication system has also been disrupted.
Under this circumstance, the university administration has announced the closure of classes and examinations till June 25, he said.
