Qatar high-ups congratulate PM Sheikh Hasina on her taking charge as PM

Embassay of the State of Qatar has congratulated Prime Minister and Awami League President Sheikh Hasina for taking charge as the PM after winning the 12th national parliament election.

 Three separate letters containing greetings have been sent from the Embassay of Qatar to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bangladesh on January 16.

The greeting messages expressed gratitude to the premier and wished continued success and growth of Bangladesh.

These greeting messages have been sent from Amir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Deputy Amir of the Sate of Qatar Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani and the new Prime Minister of Qatar Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani.

The 12th national parliament election was held on January 7. As there was no major opposition party, the main contest of this election was held between Awami League nominated candidates and the independent rebels. 

According to the data provided by the Election Commission, candidates of the ruling Awami League have won 223 seats with the ‍‍`boat‍‍` symbol, while independent candidates have won 62 seats and Jatiya Party won 11 seats.
