S.M. Nurul Hoque re-elected chairman of REMA Trust

President of the Bangladesh Myanmar Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BMCCI) SM Nurul Hoque has been re-elected as Chairman of Research for Education and Management Academy (REMA) Trust.

The election was held on Friday at REMA Bhavan, Chawkbazar, Chattogram for the term of 2024-2026 to elect the executive committee members of REMA Trust.

The other elected members are Md. Golam Hossain -Vice Chairman; Principal Habib Rahmat Ullah- Secretary; Engr Rafiqul Islam -Treasurer; EC members are Prof. Jobida Nasrin, Prof. Bahar Uddin Md, Jubair, Advocate Md Ibrahim, Prof. Dr. N.K.M. Akbar Hossain and Principal Dr. Razaul Kabir.

The REMA Trust has been running REMA Teacher’s Training College, Chittagong Laboratory School and Chittagong Laboratory College for the last 24 years.

Hoque, a founder member of the organisation REMA TRUST. He served the Chittagong Chamber of Commerce and Industries (CCCI) as Senior Vice President, Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) as First Vice President, Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) as Director, SAARC Chamber of Commerce and Industries (SAARC CCI) as Executive Committee Member.

He also served, Chairman of the Election Board, Real Estate Housing Associations of Bangladesh (REHAB) in the year 2012.

As the chairman, he organised Chittagong International Trade Fair (CITF) 2001 for CCCI.

Hoque was selected CIP (Commercially Important Person) in the 2011 and he was awarded in the year 2012 for his significant contributions to the export business of Bangladesh.

He also represented Bangladesh-Myanmar Joint Trade Commission meetings held in Bangladesh and Myanmar and contributed important role and sensitive bilateral issues for Bangladesh.
