Prof Abul Bashar Mohammad Khurshid Alam, director general of the health department, said on Monday (January 3) that patients of any age can take a booster dose of Covid-19 vaccine without receiving an SMS.
In that case, before taking the booster dose, the patient should display the necessary health documents.
In a meeting with the Bangladesh Health Reporters Forum, he said, "We have already given instructions to all the vaccination centers. People with serious health issues can receive booster dose from the concerned center if they have been vaccinated twice before.”
He said DGHS is also considering lowering the age limit for booster doses from 60 years.
