Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will inaugurate the construction of the country's first underground metro rail on Thursday.
Managing Director of Dhaka Mass Transit Company Limited M A N Siddique told UNB that all preparations have been made for the inauguration of MRT Line-1 construction work.
Besides, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will also inaugurate the depot of MRT Line-1 at Pitalganj in Rupganj of Narayanganj.
The part of this metro line from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport to Kamalapur will be subway and the part from Notun Bazar to Purbachal will be on elevated way.
