One dead, 8 injured after Buet vehicle falls 1200ft from Thanchi road

At least one person has died, and eight others were injured after a vehicle of Buet carrying nine of its staff members fell from 1200ft in Thanchi.  

The identities of the deceased and the injured were not found immediately. However, police said they all are the staff members of Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology. 

OC of Thanchi Police Station Sudip Roy confirmed the news.

He said: "Of the injured, four got treatment at the local BGB camp medical centre while two severely injured were taken to the Upazila Health Complex."
