Railway ministry yet to decide on carrying 50 percent passengers

Railways Minister Md Nurul Islam Sujan has said that Bangladesh Railways will not carry passengers at half-capacity for now. 

The railway authorities have not yet decided to when trains will maintain the restrictionsn imposed to curb Covid-19 transmission. 

On Tuesday, the minister said, "It will not be possible for trains to start operating at 50% capacity from Thursday as tickets for that date have already been sold in advance." 

A meeting will be called regarding the matter soon, he added.
