Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) detained Evaly Chief Operation Officer (CEO) Mohammed Rassel.
A RAB team conducted drive at his Mohammedpur residence in the capital on Thursday (September 16).
Assistant Director (Media wing) Imran Hossain confirmed the matter to The Report.
Earlier on the day, a fraud case was filed with Gulshan Police station against the e-commerce company CEO Rassel and his wife and Evaly chairman Shamima Nasrin.
The drive was underway while the report was being written.
Arif Baker, a customer of the company, filed the case with Gulshan police station accusing the duo of deception and money grabbing on Wednesday (September 15) night.
However, the accused grabbed the money instead of the product which was supposed to deliver between 7-45 days.
Referring to the case statement Gulshan police station official said, “Baker and some of his friends ordered some products of the company seeing add. He paid taka 3 lakh 10 thousand 597 in phases from May 29 to June 16 through online banking and another bank card.”
