Six passengers on an easybike (battery-operated rickshaw) were killed when a bus hit them at Gobindaganj upazila in Gaibandha district.
Two more people were injured in the incident.
The incident took place on Bokchor area in Gobindoganj upazila on the Dhaka-Rangpur highway at around 8:00 am on Friday (November 19).
Gobindaganj Police station Officer In-Charge (OC) Mostafizur Rahman confirmed the matter to The Report.
The OC said three people were killed on the spot when an easybike collided with a Rangpur-bound Hanif Paribahan bus. When the injured were rescued and taken to the hospital, the doctors declared three more dead.
Two are hospitalized in critical condition.
Out of the six deceased, the names of four could be identified: Nazrul, Sohag, Ashraf, and Sujan.
