One person died after a fire broke out in a building in Nitaiganj of Narayanganj. 9 more people were injured in this accident. Six units of fire service and civil defense tried to control the fire in the building for about one and a half hour.
The accident took place at Dalpatti area of Nitaiganj around 9 am on Saturday (March 18). Deputy Assistant Director of Narayanganj Fire Service and Civil Defense Fakhruddin Ahmed confirmed this to TheReport.Live.
The person who died in the fire has been identified as Awlad.
Deputy Assistant Director of Narayanganj Fire Service and Civil Defense Fakhruddin Ahmed said, "The building caught fire after the explosion around 9 o'clock on Saturday. The fire was brought under control around 10:30 am. One person named Awlad died in the fire". However, he was unable to give his details".
This fire service official also said that there were godowns of pulse, rice, salt, paper in the damaged building. Initially, the cause of the explosion and the extent of damage were not known.
