14 more died of Covid-19 at RMCH

14 more people have died from coronavirus infections and coronavirus-like symptoms while undergoing treatment at the corona unit of Rajshahi Medical College Hospital (RMCH).

Confirming the matter this morning, RMCH Director Brig Gen Shamim Yazdani said the deaths were reported in the last 24 hours starting from 8:00am on Friday (July 09) to 8:00am today, Saturday (July 10).

As many as 60 people were admitted to the hospital with coronavirus complications while 11 recovered.

A report sent to media by the RMCH disclosed the information on Saturday (July 10).

Of the 14 deaths, six were coronavirus positive and the remaining eight died of symptoms similar to that of coronavirus.

Of the dead, seven were in Rajshahi district, four in Natore and one each in Pabna, Chuadanga and Joypurhat, he said.

With them, the number of Covid-19 deaths in the hospital rose to 171 in 10 days of this month.

A total of 354 people died at the corona unit of the hospital in the month of June.
