Awami League General Secretary, Obaidul Quader, has strongly criticized the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP), accusing them of attempting to disrupt the electoral system and undermine democracy.

In a statement released on Thursday, signed by Awami League office secretary Biplab Barua, Quader condemned what he called "politically motivated lies, fabrications, and fabricated statements" made by BNP leaders, including Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir.

Quader expressed dismay at the BNP‍‍`s skepticism towards the country‍‍`s democratic process, especially during the ongoing Upazila Parishad elections. He emphasized that the elections would be conducted in a free, neutral, fair, and peaceful manner, despite BNP‍‍`s anti-democratic stance.

The General Secretary reiterated Awami League‍‍`s commitment to ensuring a transparent electoral system and urged vigilance against BNP‍‍`s alleged anti-democratic activities. He called upon party leaders and workers to support the Election Commission in organizing fair and peaceful elections.

Quader accused BNP leaders, including Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, of spreading falsehoods and undermining democracy. He condemned BNP‍‍`s association with terrorism and emphasized the government‍‍`s commitment to maintaining law and order.
