PM seeks vote for boat, otherwise inevitable suffering to be imposed

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina urged a mass rally to cast their votes for ruling Awami League in the upcoming general polls.

Otherwise, inevitable suffering to be imposed on the people as only her party works for the betterment of the country, she claimed while addressing as the chief guest at a civil rally.

The program was held at the helipad ground of Mithamain upazila of Kishoreganj on Tuesday (February 28) afternoon.

“Whenever BNP appeared in the state power, the rulers looted assets of the country. Having smuggled that wealth abroad, they are now spending their days comfortably,” she said.

The premier added, “When the people of the country suffer, they (BNP) impose more sufferings over the people. Citizens are burned to death with fire by them. Those who can kill people with bombs and fire can never do good to the country.”

Sheikh Hasina, also president of ruling party, said that whenever the BNP-Jamaat or 20-party alliance came to power, the sufferings of the people increased.

“Whenever Awami League comes to power, the welfare of the people of the country increases, crop, fish, fruit and vegetable production increases, people eat and live happily, people's fortune changes,” PM furthered.

She urged the people to vote for the boat which is the symbol of Bangladesh Awami League.

At that time, the Prime Minister took promise from the people present in the rally to vote for boat in the upcoming parliamentary election.
