Joy for giving up religious intolerance, mistrust

Prime Minister's ICT Affairs Advisor Sajeeb Wazed Joy on Saturday extended Eid greetings to all calling upon to give up religious intolerance and mistrust, kindling the passion for kindness with the essence of sacrifice.

"While we sacrifice on this occasion, we must also give up religious intolerance and mistrust, kindling the passion for kindness," he wrote from his verified Facebook account.

He said Eid-ul-Azha marks a cherished occasion for the Muslims to master the virtue of sacrifice.

"This is also a special day for setting precedence for harmony and equality by reaching out to the people not so privileged in society," he said.

"If the sacrifice we practice on this occasion continues, the helplessness of underprivileged people will be abolished forever. Let us stand beside poor and helpless ones, eradicating disparity," he said.

Joy said: "With this essence of Eid, we must come forward to the help of people during times of disasters also. Only then the joy of Eid will be evenly shared among people of all castes and creeds."

He wished Eid Mubarak to all on the eve of holy Eid-ul-Azha being celebrated today.
