Sheikh Hasina, the prime minister and president of the ruling Awami League, will address a public rally at the Sylhet Govt. Alia Madrasa ground on Wednesday to kick off the party`s official campaign for the 12th national parliamentary election.
After this first-ever gathering, Sheikh Hasina will tour different regions and districts, speaking at Awami League election rallies.
Notably, nine public rallies for the election have been scheduled for eight districts in five divisions.
Sheikh Hasina will speak at a virtual public meeting in Panchagarh and Lalmonirhat of Rangpur division, Natore and Pabna of Rajshahi division, and Khagrachhari of Chittagong division on Thursday at 3 p.m., following her visit to Sylhet.
Awami League President will address an election rally at the Barisal district on December 29.
She will also speak at election rallies in Madaripur-3 and Gopalganj-3 constituencies on December 30, which include her own constituency (Tungipara and Kotalipara).
