On Thursday, a bus crashed with a three-wheeler on the Dhaka-Chattogram Highway in Cumilla district, leaving two persons dead and two more injured.
The deceased were named as Imran Hossain, 30, the son of Alfu Mia of Sadar Dakkhin upazila, and Joynal Abedin, 35, the son of Siraj Haque.
According to Akul Chandra Biswas, officer-in-charge of the Mainamati Highway Police Station, the accident happened in the Beltoli region of the upazila at around 8 am when the Dhaka-bound bus of "Econo Paribahan" coming from Chattogram hit the three-wheeler at a high speed.
According to him, two of the four passengers were killed instantly and two others were hurt. "The Cumilla Medical College and Hospital is treating the injured."
