State Minister for Shipping Khalid Mahmud Chowdhury said that Bangladesh has reached a position of dignity under the Prime Minister`s leadership. There isn`t any militancy in the country right now. Youth should participate in putting the spirit of the liberation war into practice.
He said these things in his speech as the chief guest at Varendra University`s Eid reunion and freshman reception on Sunday (July 23) in Rajshahi.
The Minister of Naval Affairs also said that the country that forgets history, cannot move forward. After the assassination of Bangabandhu in 1975, history was turned around. People who were against the spirit of the liberation war seized power. Razakar Al Shams ran the country instead of freedom fighters. Currently, Bangladesh has not stopped because the country is moving forward with the spirit of the liberation war and the ideals of Bangabandhu.
Stating that there is no opportunity to do anything outside the constitution, the state minister said that in 2008, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina had called for the implementation of the change of day charter in the election manifesto of Awami League. The Prime Minister has developed Digital Bangladesh through the day change charter. The gap has been bridged through development.
Addressing the students of Varendra University, Khalid Mahmud Chowdhury said that the students of Varendra University will be the artisans of building developed and smart Bangladesh in tune with the modern world. They will lead the world someday.
