A fire broke out at Moti Tower in the Chwakbazar neighborhood of port city Chattogram on Saturday.
According to Shahidul Islam, senior station officer of Chandanpura Fire Service and Civil Defence, the fire broke out at a tailor's store on the ground floor of Moti Tower at about 9:45 am and quickly spread.
Two firefighting units responded quickly to information and put out the fire after an hour.
The cause of the fire, however, was not immediately apparent.
Damages have not yet been assessed in their full extent.
