The results of the newly elected candidates in the 12th National Parliamentary elections have been published in the gazette form.
Director of Election Commission (Public Relations) Md. Shariful Islam confirmed this information on Tuesday.
Earlier at 3:30 pm, EC Md. Alamgir in his office spoke to the journalists about the publication of the gazette. He said about the publication of the gazette that the election was canceled due to the death of the candidate of Naogaon-2 seat out of 300 parliamentary seats. A new schedule has been given for the election of that seat. Elections will be held on February 13. And in one center of Mymensingh, the result has been suspended for the election to be held on January 13.
Apart from these two, the election results of the remaining 298 constituencies have been collated and verified. The Election Commission has found that everything is correct and the results have been sent to BD Press for gazetting.
