BNP's seventh divisional rally began on Alia Madrasa ground in Sylhet city today around 11:10am with the recitation from the Holy Quran.
The rally was scheduled to start at 12:30pm, however, started a bit early as thousands of BNP activists and supporters have gathered early in the morning on Alia Madrasa ground.
BNP supporters have been marching towards the venue, wearing colourful T-shirts printed with the images of their chairperson Khaleda Zia, chanting slogans and holding placards.
Due to the suspension of Public transport, leaders and supporters of BNP joining the rally using various modes of vehicles including trucks, motorcycles, cars, three-wheelers, even on foot.
Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, BNP Secretary General and the chief guest of the rally reached Sylhet last night.
