Three people were arrested in connection with killing a mentally-challenged woman after raping her in Sylhet.
The arrestees are Jabbar Miah, Bachhu Miah and Sebul Miah.
Probas Kumar Singha, senior assistant superintendent of police disclosed these at a press conference. He said the arrestees were Yaba addicts.
The accused hit upon a plan to rape the mentally-challenged woman when they were taking Yaba, later took her away and raped her.
The trio killed her by hitting her on the head and other parts of the body with sticks and stones when she tried to resist their attempts to rape her, the police officer narrated.
Police recovered the body on December 12 morning, he said.
