A horrifying incident unfolded at the ATM booth of Madhumati Bank in Shahjadpur, where miscreants brutally hacked a security guard to death. The victim, identified as Hasan Mahmud (55), was killed in the early hours of Wednesday at the booth situated on the lower floor of Maisha Chowdhury Tower.
Gulshan Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mazharul Islam confirmed the tragic event, stating, "Unknown miscreants hacked to death Hasan Mahmud, a security guard working at the ATM booth of Madhumati Bank located at Maisha Chowdhury Tower in Shahjadpur around 5:30 AM." Initial investigations suggest that the perpetrators, intending to steal from the ATM booth, attempted to break in but were thwarted in their efforts. In a violent escalation, they brutally attacked Hasan before fleeing the scene.
OC Islam further added, "CCTV footage of the incident is being collected and analyzed," highlighting the ongoing efforts to uncover the motives behind the murder. The victim`s body has been transferred to the hospital for post-mortem examination as part of the investigative process.
