Police said that a mob swooped on a group of suspected robbers in Sonargaon upazila of Narayanganj resulted in the deaths of four and the severe injuries of another.
According to Chailau Marma, an additional superintendent of police in Narayanganj, the event occurred at Bagri village under the Sadipur union shortly after 12:00 am on Monday.
Three of them were died on the spot while one passed away after taken at Dhaka Medical College Hospital, said Chailau.
The National Institute of Traumatology and Orthopedic Rehabilitation (Nitor) received the admission of the other injured.
