A 10-year-old kid died last night after allegedly being given general anesthesia during a circumcision surgery at a private hospital in the capital`s Malibagh.
Following the death of Ahnaf Tahmin Ayham, a fourth-grade student at Motijheel Ideal School and College, police arrested two doctors from JS Hospital and Medical Checkup Centre (JSHMCC).
The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) issued notice of seizure of the medical facility on Wednesday.
Awlad Hussain, officer-in-charge of Hatirjheel Police Station, stated this morning that the two physicians, SM Muktadir and Md Mahbub, were arrested after Ayham`s father, Fakhrul Islam, filed a case naming three doctors and five other unnamed individuals.
The accused were placed in front of a Dhaka court by the police seeking seven-day remand.
