In the Rohtak district of Haryana, India, a distressing incident has come to light involving the alleged rape of a female prisoner in a police van. Reported by The Hindustan Times, the victim, who had been in custody, was being transported to PGIMS Hospital in Rohtak for medical treatment, accompanied by two other male inmates. The unfortunate incident occurred during their return journey from the hospital.

The victim recounted that she had been treated at the hospital and was returning to the prison in the police van.
