Magnitude 7.3 earthquake hits Indonesian coast

An earthquake of magnitude 7.3 struck Kepulauan Barat Daya, Indonesia on Thursday (December 30), reports Reutes citing the European Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC). 

According to EMSC, the earth quake struck at a depth of 200 km. 

The epicentre of the earthquake was about 250km northeast of Dili and 50km east of Indonesia’s Maluku islands in the Banda Sea.
