Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi officially tossed his hat into the electoral ring for the Varanasi parliamentary constituency in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. Filing his nomination papers on Tuesday, Modi laid bare his financial details in an affidavit.
According to the disclosure, the Prime Minister`s moveable assets stand at a notable Rs 3.02 crore, while he carries a modest sum of Rs 52,920 in cash. Interestingly, Modi does not list any ownership of land, property, or vehicles.
Delving deeper into the financial dossier, it`s revealed that Modi`s taxable income saw a significant surge. From Rs 11 lakh in the fiscal year 2018-19, it soared to Rs 23.5 lakh in 2022-23, effectively doubling within the mentioned period.
