The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) has instructed not to transfer any dengue patient to Dhaka.

The additional Director General of the department, Prof. Dr. Ahmedul Kabir said this on Sunday afternoon.

Dr. Ahmedul Kabir said, "Dengue infection has increased in other districts compared to Dhaka. We have provided treatment for dengue patients everywhere outside Dhaka. We spoke to health officials across the country. Dengue patients need IV fluid the most".

He said, "Some unscrupulous businessmen try to take advantage at this time. We have directed the civil surgeons to take action against anyone who keeps the price of saline high".

He said some clinics and hospitals are cheating patients. They are keeping patients in hospital and admitting them to ICU. Action will be taken against these hospitals and clinics. Operations will be conducted against these hospitals and clinics that do not have or have expired registration.

The doctor also said that no dishonest circle will be allowed to make profit by taking patients as hostages. Those who are doing such things are not patriotic.
