The Meteorological Office has predicted a storm with a speed of 45 to 60 km over 7 districts of the country. It has also been reported that there may be rain with thunder.
This information is known in the weather forecast given for the inland river ports of the country till 1 am today.
According to the forecast, gusty or gale force winds at a speed of 45 to 60 km per hour may blow over Mymensingh, Barisal, Patuakhali, Noakhali, Cumilla, Chittagong and Cox`s Bazar districts from the east or southeast. At the same time there may be rain or thundershowers.
In this situation, the river ports of these areas have been asked to show warning signal number 1.
Meanwhile, the weather forecast of the whole country has said that there may be rain or thundershowers with gusty winds temporarily in two places of Chittagong and Sylhet divisions for the next 24 hours from 9 am. Apart from this, the weather may remain mainly dry with temporary partly cloudy skies in other parts of the country. During this time, the day temperature may remain almost unchanged across the country and the night temperature may increase slightly.
The Met Office also informed that intense heat waves are passing over Rajshahi and Pabna districts. Mild to moderate heat wave is passing over Chittagong, Rangamati, Comilla, Chandpur, Noakhali and Bandarban districts along with Dhaka, Rangpur, Mymensingh, Sylhet, Khulna and Barisal divisions and the remainder of Rajshahi division.
