The admission tests for the undergraduate program of Dhaka University (DU) for the academic year 2022-2023 might start from April 29.
This recommendation was made in the meeting of general admission committee of the university on Thursday.
According to sources, on April 29, the admission test for the Fine Arts faculty will be held. Apart from this, admission test for Arts, Law and Social Science faculties will be held on May 6, Science faculty admission on May 12 and the Business Studies faculty will be held on the following day (May 13).
DU vice-chancellor Professor Dr Md Akhtaruzzaman said, “We will admit students under undergraduate program from this year in line with the international standard. In previous years we had carried out the intake tests under the name of honors program.”
The exam will now be taken in four units instead of the prior five as it was in previous years. Exams of the Social Science faculty will be combined with the Arts and Law faculties’.
Aspirants from transgender community can also be able to take part this year. Similar to the previous two years, the tests will be administered at the major universities in every divisional city.
