Two Bangladeshis lost their lives in a road accident on their way back from Umrah

Sagar Jamaddar (24) and Mozammel Hossain (45), residents of Patuakhali and Barguna, lived in Saudi Arabia. Last Saturday they went to Medina to perform Umrah Hajj. After Umrah, they met with an accident on their way from Medina to Makkah at around 8:30 PM (Bangladesh time) on Saturday.

Sagar Jamaddar is the son of Motahar Jamaddar of Bottala area of ​​Hosnabad Union of Betagi Upazila of Barguna and Mozammel Hossain Mridha is the son of deceased Aziz Mridha of Chailabunia village of Mirzaganj Upazila of Patuakhali. They are brothers-in-law. Sagar Jamaddar's elder brother Ujjal Jamaddar confirmed the news of their death to the media.

According to local media reports, Sagar and Mozammel went from Unaiza in Algashim, Saudi Arabia to Madinah on last Thursday. They left for Mecca on Saturday night. At that time, their car lost control and hit the stone hill. Two were killed on the spot. 

Their bodies are currently kept in a hospital morgue there. After the legal process, efforts are underway to bring the two bodies to the country.

Betagi Upazila Executive Officer (UNO) Md. Suhrid Saleheen said that the government is taking all kinds of measures by contacting the Saudi Embassy in bringing the bodies of the two back to Bangladesh.
