University Teachers' Network UTN), an organisation of university teachers across the country, has declared to observe hunger strike expressing solidarity with the Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST) students demanding the resignation of Vice-Chancellor Farid Uddin.
The UTN will observe token fasting at Aparajeyo Bangla of Dhaka University on Monday.
Associate professor Samina Lutfa of DU social science department and also the spokesperson of the teachers' network disclosed the matter in a press release sent to media.
UTN decided to hold a symbolic hunger strike at Aparajeyo Bangla on in solidarity with the demands of SUST students, the press release read.
