Students aged 12-17 to receive Pfizer shots: Health Minister

Inoculation of Pfizer coronavirus vaccine among students aged 12-17 is set to begin within 15-20 days. All preparations have been taken to implement the plan, said health minister Zahid Maleque.

The minister came up with the remarks while speaking to a programme as chief guest held at Manikganj on Saturday (September 18).

Mentioning an agreement with World Health Organisation (WHO) involving some 10 crore doses the minister said, “Britain placed eight nations including Bangladesh in the red lest. But now we have been excluded. We have inoculated 2.5 crore people so far.”

Referring to the ouster of Somalia Prime Minister due to deterioration of coronavirus Zahid Maleque said, “The government of Thailand is also facing turbulence. But we are fine. The wheel of our economy is also moving."
