The prime accused, including six others accused in the rape case of two girls of the ethnic Garo community in Haluaghat upazila of Mymensingh on December 27 has been arrested by law enforcers.
Solaiman Hossain Riad (22), the prime accused of the rape case was arrested by Rapid Action Battalion (RAB).
The five accused in the case filed over the rape of the two girls were arrested from different areas of Mymensign, said Shafiqul Islam, an inspector of the Detective Branch of Police (DB).
Three of them -- Sharif, Mizan and Rokon -- were arrested from Gazipur's Sreepur upazila while Mia Hossain and Abdul Hamid were arrested from Mymensingh's Tarakanda and Haluaghat upazila respectively, he said.
The girls were victims of the rapists while returning home from a wedding ceremony.
One of the girls' father filed a rape case three days after the incident with Haluaghat police station.
