Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Anisul Haque said that the price of edible oil in the country will come down within a very short time due to the steps, the government has taken to control the oil market.
He made this remarks on Friday in response to a question from reporters at an extended meeting of Upazila unit Awami League in in Brahmanbaria. The meeting was held at the Kasba Upazila Parishad auditorium.
Mentioning the price of edible oil has not gone up in the last 40 years but it has now increased much more, the law minister said, “ High price of oil has affected Bangladesh as well. The government has taken all possible steps to control the price of edible oil.”
“I think oil prices will come down a little very soon.” he added. The minister, at this time, also urged the people to be patient.
Among others, vice-president of Kashba Upazila unit Awami League Mojibur Rahman and joint general Mahbubul Bari Chowdhury were present on the occasion.
