A woman and her son were killed and two others were injured on Tuesday in a clash over a land dispute at Master Hat area in Chattogram’s Karnafuli upazila.
The deceased are Hosne Ara Begum, 45, and her son Md Parvez, 16.
They were taken to Chittagong Medical College and Hospital (CMCH) and the mother-son was declared dead, said Dulal Mahmud, officer-in-charge of Karafuli police station.
A case was filed regarding the land dispute before this incident, said Md. Mobarak Hossain, in-charge of Shikalbaha police outpost.
One of the three accused in the case was on the run.
The clash erupted after police returned searching his house, he added.
