A 14-storied residential building catches fire in the capital`s Mohammdpur area killing one man early today.
The deceased was identified as 65-year-old retired flying lieutenant Mosharraf Hossain said duty officer of the Fire Service and Civil Defense control room, Rafi Al Faruk.
The fire broke out on the fourth floor of the 14-storied building at around 12:30 am in Shahjahan Road area. Four fire service units put out the fire at around 3:45 am, he said.
Rafi said firefighters had removed the body from the apartment but had not yet determined what had started the fire.
