A house fire in Chattogram's Banshkhali Upazila has left a six-year-old girl and her teenage brother dead.
The fire began on Monday night and was doused by the locals before the arrival of fire service, said Nurul Bashar, chief of Banshkhali Fire Station.
According to fire services the dead have been identified as Ruhi (6), and her brother Md Minhaj (16), who are the children of an expatriate worker.
The children's were asleep when the fire broke. Their mother was in the other room.
The cause of the fire could not be immediately known.
