‘Govt working relentlessly to execute jail killing case verdict’

The government has been working relentlessly to execute the verdict in heinous jail killing occurred in November 3, 1975.

Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal said this after placing wreaths at the portrait of the slain four national leaders at the old central jail at Najimuddin road in the capital on Wednesday (November 3).

“Two gruesome murders took place in the country’s history. One was committed on August 15 and another on November 3. Everyone knows who masterminded the killing. They will also be brought to book,” the home minister said.

“The sentence in killing father of the nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman has been executed partially. We are looking for the fugitives. The death penalty will be executed whenever we catch the accused,” added he.

Shaheed Tajudin Ahmed’s offspring Tanjim Ahmed Sohel Taj, Simin Hossain Rimi, Captain M Mansur Ali’s son Rezaul Karim, Dhaka-7 constituency lawmaker Haji Md. Selim, former MP Dr. Mostofa Jalal Mahiuddin, IG prison Brigadier general Anisur Rahman were present in the occasion among others.
