RAB-10 has arrested an accused named Mahabub Alam (40), who is a criminal of lifetime imprisonment in the drug case from Dhakeshwari temple area of Chawkbazar police station, Dhaka. According to RAB sources, his house is in Bikrampur of Lauhjong upazila of Munshiganj district.
RAB-10 Assistant Director (Media) Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP), Enayet Kabir Soyeb confirmed the arrest to the media today.
This RAB official said that today, a team of RAB-10 conducted an operation in the Dhakeshwari temple area of Chawkbazar police station in the capital. At the time, the fugitive sentenced to lifetime imprisonment in a long-running drug case, Mahabub Alam was arrested.
Arrested Mahabub admitted absconding during preliminary interrogation. The accused, who was sentenced to lifetime imprisonment, said that he had been hiding in different areas of the country for a long time to escape from the law.
