In the lasty 24 hours, till Wednesday (Oct 6) morning, 203 new dengue patients were hospitalized across the country.
Of them, 170 were undergoing treatment in the capital while the remaining 33 cases were reported from other divisions,
The information was revealed by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
A total of 863 dengue patients are undergoing treatment at different hospitals and clinics across the country.
Of them, 720 patients are receiving treatment at different hospitals in the capital while the remaining 143 were listed outside Dhaka, the release mentioned.
Since January this year, a total of 19,336 dengue patients have been admitted to different hospitals across the country.
Through treatment at hospital,18,400 have returned home after recovery, added the DGHS bulletin.
The Institute of Epidemiology, Disease Control and Research (IEDCR) has confirmed 73 deaths from dengue fever this year.
