Narayanganj City mayoral runner advocate Taimur Alam Khandaker has been relieved from the post of BNP chairperson’s advisor.
The party senior joint secretary general Ruhul Kabir Rizvi confirmed the matter to the media on Monday.
Earlier on Sunday, a letter signed by Rizvi was issued to this connection.
“You have been exempted from the member of Chairperson’s advisory council. The order will be executed soon,” the letter sent to Taimur read.
However, BNP was yet to mention why Taimur was relieved.
BNP in various occasions declared the party won’t take part in any election under the incumbent government and its election commission. The party refrained from nominating any candidate in local government election.
