For the first time, local health authorities will begin a special Covid-19 vaccine drive at ward level across the country.
The special campaign will be launched on Saturday (January 1) with the goal to administer vaccine to 33.2 million people.
On Thursday (December 31), Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) informed the media about their latest plan to bring in more people under Covid vaccination drive in the country.
"Necessary support has been provided to the union parishad EPI unit" said Civil Surgeon of Kishoreganj, Dr Mujibur Rahman said.
All the measures have been taken and adequate vaccines stock has been ensured at upazila level so that the process will not face any hindrances at any time of the campaign, said DGHS Divisional Director (Dhaka) Dr Belal Hossain.
He also added that they are optimistic regarding the target set by DGHS.
