As many as eight suspected members of a question paper leak gang including three teachers have been arrested from Bhabaniganj area of Bagmara upazila in Rajshahi.
Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB-5) made the arrests on the early hours of Friday.
The arrestees are Morshedul Islam, 49, the leader of the gang, Momin Mandal, 21, Jakirul Islam, 37, lecturer of Adarsha Technical and BM College, Shahsul Islam, 45, lecturer of the same college, Touhidul Islam Jonny, 33, lecturer of Kalita Sabuj Sangha Adarsha High School and College, Dulal Hossain, 48, Shariful Islam, 25 and Tofayel Hossain, 33.
During the drive, one set of HSC original question paper, five guide books, 200 sets of answer sheets of leaked questions, two photocopy machines, seven mobile phones and nine SIM cards were seized.
The gang used to collect question papers during exams, prepare the answer sheets and sold them to the examinees at a low cost.
