Ramos to Premier League?

With the final six months remaining on his contract, Sergio Ramos has been free to negotiate contracts with other European Clubs for weeks. Real Madrid had made him an offer with 10 percent reduced salary due to the club’s finances having suffered in the COVID situation. For unconfirmed reasons, the Real Madrid skipper has not signed the new contract yet. Of course, speculations have been made but there has been nothing absolutely solid on the matter.

Ever since the world cup winner declined the contract, he’s been linked with a number of other clubs. PSG has been leading the rumours as they are said to be rebuilding their team for Champions League yet again. Most recently, according to The Mirror, the Spanish defender is considering a move to Manchester United. Names such as Manchester City and Liverpool have been mentioned but these moves were labelled as ‘very difficult’. Speculations were made about Everton considering that their current coach Carlo Ancelotti had managed Ramos in Madrid but at the moment no clubs are ruled out.

It is difficult to say what exactly Real Madrid’s plans are at the moment involving their back line should Ramos leave. He’s been an imposing figure for the club both on and off the pitch and often counted on for extra time miracle rescue when the club needs them. The Spanish international has scored 100 goals for Los Blancos in 668 appearances in all competitions even though he plays as a central back.
