After 14 years, the two biggest clubs of football in the country, Abahani and Mohammedan, were facing each other. They faced each other in the final of the Federation Cup.

The game ended at 4-4. Mohammedan won the Federation Cup after 14 years and the title after nine years. Mohammedan won 4-2 on penalties.
