BAN VS IND: India take 1-0 series lead over Bangladesh with comprehensive win

Bangladesh were all bowled out for 324 on the final day of play on Sunday and India took the 1-0 lead in their test series against Bangladesh after winning the first match in Chittagong by 188 runs.

Zakir Hasan was the top-scorer for Bangladesh, scored a century on his test debut, while captain Shakib Al Hasan gathered 84 runs, which featured six fours and six sixes. Later Kuldeep Yadav found the middle stump as Shakib tried an aerial stroke.

Bangladesh lost the wicket of Mehidy Hasan Miraz (13) to Mohammed Siraj.

Kuldeep then dismissed Ebadot Hossain for a duck, before Axar Patel bowled out Taijul Islam for the same score, finishing with figures of 4-77 in the second innings.

India 404 (Pujara 90, Iyer 86, Miraz 4-112, Taijul 4-133) and 258 for 2 dec (Gill 110, Pujara 102*) beat Bangladesh 150 (Mushfiqur 28, Kuldeep 5-40) and 324 (Zakir 100, Shakib 84, Axar 4-77) by 188 runs.
